No. The TurfDirect, Inc. grass technology is an advanced synthetic grass that is soft, durable, and protected against fading. Because of the softness of TurfDirect, Inc. grass, there are virtually no scrapes from sliding, kneeling or hitting the grass surface. TurfDirect's grass has rubber in-fill so it's safe for children's play areas and home lawns.

What is the warranty?

TurfDirect, Inc. warrants it's products for eight (8) years for manufacturers' defects, such as excessive fading and other defects associated with the manufacture of the synthetic grass. TurfDirect, Inc.'s warranty covers all synthetic grass products it installs, including putting greens for eight years.

How long does it take to install TurfDirect, Inc. grass?

Most lawns are generally designed to custom fit your landscape and can take up to 2 to 4 days depending on size and other customer requirements. A small lawn can be installed in as little as one day. Our installers are certified for the best in quality work.

What about hills, pools, spas, trees, etc..., in the landscape?

TurfDirect, Inc. has installed lawns around all of the above, with no adverse effects due to chlorine and water as well as hills and slope up to a 40 degree incline with no problems from rain. Our beautifully manincured installations aroud trees, shrubs, etc..., give the most eye pleasing and professional appearance.

Is there much maintenance involved?

Except for normal removal of leaves and debris, there is no watering, no mowing, no pesticides and no seeding that could cost as much as $8,000 per year for normal lawns.

For pet use, the TurfDirect, Inc. grass has exceptional drain abilities so simply pick up the pet debris from the grass like you would on regular grass. You would then spray water on the remainder to dissipate urine, etc... through the grass. Pets usually do not chew the grass and urine does not stain it.

What is in-fill?

When you think of the old artificial turf, the association has to do with a stiff and abrasive nylon that needed to be replaced fairly often. The old artificial grass got hard and uncomfortable to play on. TurfDirect, Inc. synthetic grass is filled with ground rubber. Filled means that the grass fibers are brushed against the gradeand the rubber is sifted into the fiber to keep it standing. The rubber then settles or compacts. This ruber is sized for a proper, rapid compaction of the ground rubber particles that gives the lawns and fields more of a natural look and feel.
